His praise of the Exalted for His care of His servants, in that He assigned to them from among these angels those who guard them, record their deeds, and attend to other matters of their benefit.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"Second: His praise of the Exalted for His care of His servants, in that He assigned to them from among these angels those who guard them, record their deeds, and attend to other matters of their benefit".
Yes, if we believe in the angels, their duties, and their works, that obligates us to thank Allah. For what? For His care of us.
Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those around it
[Ghafir 40:7]
is conjoined to "those who," meaning: and those around Him.
(7) Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those around it exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who have believed, [saying], "Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire. (8) Our Lord, and admit them to gardens of perpetual residence which You have promised them and whoever was righteous among their fathers, their spouses and their offspring. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (9) And protect them from the evil consequences [of their deeds]. And he whom You protect from evil consequences that Day - You will have given him mercy. And that is the great attainment."
[Ghafir 40:7-9]
This is a very great supplication, every day, indeed every hour, indeed every moment. They are the near ones to Allah, they carry the Throne, those who carry the Throne, and the second group are those around the Throne whose duty is not to carry it. Is this not a care from Allah for us? Allah makes you and me among them. It is a care from Allah for us that He subjected these near angels to us with this great supplication.
Fine. Also, there are angels who guard us.
For each one are successive [angels] before and behind him who protect him by the decree of Allah.
[Ar-Ra'd 13:11]
They are hidden troops who guard you from before you and from behind you by the command of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). This is part of the complete care for the servants, and praise be to Allah, that He facilitated these angels to guard them from before them, from before him and from behind him, guarding them by the command of Allah.
Likewise, there are angels assigned to recording our deeds so that they are not lost. Now, if I asked you what you did in this month, and we are today on the twenty-sixth of it, what did you do? Can you count what you did? No, neither the good nor the bad, is that not so? There are angels, troops, troops from Allah (Mighty and Majestic) who record your work, they are employed. If you had one human being recording your deeds day and night, in secret and in public, he would be exhausted and would not be able to do it, but there are angels who record your deeds
(9) No! But you deny the Recompense. (10) And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, (11) Noble and recording; (12) They know whatever you do.
[Al-Infitar 82:9-12]
and they do not neglect them nor err in them.
Also, there are angels who guard you when you die. Allah the Exalted said:
until, when death comes to one of you
[Al-An'am 6:61]
What?
Our messengers take him, and they do not fail [in their duties].
[Al-An'am 6:61]
They do not err in this soul that they have taken, nor do they allow anyone authority over it, rather they guard it until their mission is completed. Is this not a blessing from Allah?
Therefore, it is upon us to remember the blessing of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) with these angels who were assigned to us to this great extent.
There are angels assigned to the rain, and who benefits from the rain? People, the children of Adam. And likewise with plants, likewise, and other things. For this reason, the author said: "and other matters of their benefit".
