Sometimes we see cats and dogs entering the mosques, so should we prevent them from doing so?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. Sometimes we see some cats and dogs entering the mosques.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : So what is prescribed: do we leave them or drive them away?

The Shaykh : No, no. What is prescribed is that if there is harm, they should be driven away. If there is no harm, there is nothing wrong with them staying. The dogs used to enter the mosque in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), walking in and out of it.

The questioner : What is the harm for which they are driven away...

The Shaykh : The great harm, do you know what it is? That it urinates or defecates, or if someone passes by it, it barks in his face, or if someone passes by it, it climbs onto his clothes. It causes a lot of harm. Yes.

The questioner : Shaykh, may Allah reward you...

The Shaykh : What? Is it...?

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : ...the heart's actions... what is called the spirituality that a person sometimes finds in his heart...
