Driving cats out of the house

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 12585 )
Q: In the village where I live, there are many cats, as there are many trees and forests next to the village. When it is time to eat,
these cats come to the house, as if someone is calling all of them, and they are on the verge of devouring the food from between our hands with wild and annoying movements. Some of them appear to be sick, and they sleep on the mats in the rooms and living rooms and urinate on them. It is our custom that when we finish eating, we put the excess food that has spoiled outside the house for these cats, in a designated place. It is known that they are not domesticated cats, and most of the time I drive them away and throw stones and sticks at them while they are at the house or inside it. The question: Is there any sin on me for what I do? Please inform me, may Allah reward you.

A : There is no harm in driving away the aforementioned cats with sticks and stones and the like, that which repels their harm. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
