The questioner : May Allah reward you. What is the ruling on writing the verse:
And say, "Do [as you will], for Allah will see your deeds وقل اعملوا فسيرى الله عملكم
[At-Tawbah 9:105]
in certificates or…?

The Shaykh : It is not permissible; this is not allowed, because if it were not for Allah seeing it, the Messenger would not see it.

The questioner : … the hadith … they differ, so is it…

The Shaykh : Like what?

The questioner : Like the hadith that is with us…

The Shaykh : Yes, the story is one, without doubt. Yes, and he only said one of the two phrases, and we do not know which is more correct. So in that case, we say we take both. We say: when one is at ease, then one is upright, because it is not possible to be at ease between the bowing and the standing; one must be upright. So we take what is more cautious.
