If one gets up from sleep thinking that the prayer has ended, prays, and then the iqamah is called in the mosque, is he obligated to pray with the congregation?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : If one prays after getting up from sleep, thinking that he missed the congregational prayer, and prays, and then after he completes the prayer the iqamah is called, does he pray with the congregation?

The Shaykh : It is better.

The questioner : Where is the obligatory prayer, the fard, that he prayed at home or with the congregation?

The Shaykh : How so? The first fard, if a person prays the fard, his conscience is cleared; it cannot be that he is still occupied with it.

The questioner : All right, what if he intended the second one to be a fard?

The Shaykh : That does not happen, because he intended the first one to be a fard.

The questioner : Shaykh, may Allah reward you, previously you used to say: (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), now we have heard you say: (peace and blessings be upon him).

The Shaykh : This is a fine point, all right, because the Messenger said:
and say: Alahumma salli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala ali Muhammad (O Allah, send salah upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad). قولوا : اللهم صل على محمد وعلى آل محمد
Sunan an-Nasa'i 1292Hasan (Darussalam)
He did not say: Say, "Prayer upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad."

The questioner : But...

The Shaykh : I used to say: "and his family," but I reflected on the hadith and found that it says:
and say: Alahumma salli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala ali Muhammad (O Allah, send salah upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad). قولوا الله صل على محمد وعلى آل محمد
Sunan an-Nasa'i 1292Hasan (Darussalam)
.

The questioner : Meaning, we say it.

The Shaykh : If Allah wills, yes.
