The reciter: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions. Al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “Chapter: Prayer is part of faith, and the saying of Allah the Exalted: [Al-Baqarah 2:143]: meaning your prayer at the House”.
Amr ibn Khalid narrated to us, saying: Zuhayr narrated to us...
The Shaykh : The saying of Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He:[Al-Baqarah 2:143] He said: “Meaning your prayer at the House”. Most of the exegetes hold that the meaning is: your prayer toward the Sacred Mosque (Bayt al-Maqdis). This is because when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) arrived in Madinah, he faced the Sacred Mosque for sixteen or seventeen months. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) desired to face the Ka'bah, so he would turn his face toward the sky, seeking the descent of revelation. So Allah the Exalted revealed the verses regarding the obligation to face the direction of al-Masjid al-Haram. It was as if the matter was confusing to some people: is our prayer toward the Sacred Mosque accepted or wasted? So Allah revealed this verse: [Al-Baqarah 2:143] Thus, Allah used the term “faith” for prayer, and this indicates that prayer is part of faith. There is no doubt that it is part of faith, because it encompasses belief, speech with the tongue, and action with the limbs. Faith revolves around these three: belief in the heart, speech with the tongue, and action with the limbs. It is comprehensive of all types of faith mentioned by the people of the Sunnah and the community.
It is derived from the noble verse that whoever performs an action in obedience to Allah, his mistake does not harm him, provided that it is in accordance with the command. Even if it was a mistake, the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) prayed in a direction other than the qiblah for several prayers, until the one who came to them said: The qiblah has been changed. Yes.
And never would Allah have caused you to lose your faith
