Continuation of the benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: ((And if We give him a taste of Our mercy after hardship has touched him, he will surely say, 'This is mine, and I do not think the Hour is going to stand. And if I return to my Lord, I will surely have the best with Him.' So We will inform those who disbelieved of what they did, and We will make them taste a severe punishment.))

The third scene: [Al-Baqarah 2:243] They feared death and left their homes, so Allah said to them: Die. So they died, then He brought them back to life. He killed them so they would know that there is no escape from the decree of Allah, then He brought them back to life to complete a specified term. How many is this scene? ...
The fourth scene: Yes, the man of the town passed by a town that was in ruins, its roofs collapsed, and he said:[Al-Baqarah 2:259].
The fifth scene: Ibrahim said:[Al-Baqarah 2:260] So Allah, Mighty and Majestic, commanded him to slaughter four birds and place a part of each on every mountain, and to call them. So he did, and they came to him alive, either flying or walking quickly. These are five scenes mentioned in al-Baqarah, all of which indicate the possibility of resurrection after death.
As for the story of 'Isa, it was likewise; 'Isa (peace be upon him) used to bring the dead to life by the permission of Allah. He would stand over the dead man and say: O so-and-so, get up. And he would get up. In fact, he would stand over the grave, the dead man being buried, and command him to come out alive, and he would come out, as the Exalted said:[Al-Ma'idah 5:110]. And regarding the Dajjal, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us that he will cut a man into two pieces and pass between them, then stand and command him to come forward, commanding these two pieces of the dead man to come forward, so they will join together immediately and he will stand up, while the people are watching. This is also a tangible witness. So the important point is that resurrection is indicated by revelation, reason, and sense. Now, this disbeliever says: [Al-Kahf 18:36].
Among the benefits of this noble verse is also that this disbeliever has such arrogance and self-confidence that he has nothing to rely on, yet he is able to say:[Fussilat 41:50].
And among the benefits of the verse is that acknowledging lordship does not bring a person into Islam, because this denier is acknowledging lordship. Where do we take this from? He says: And the polytheists were acknowledging lordship [Az-Zukhruf 43:9] But acknowledging lordship does not benefit a person in any way. Indeed, some ignorant people boasted that one of the space travelers testified that this universe has a Creator when he ascended into space and saw the earth and the signs around him, and he testified that it has a Creator. So some ignorant people started making a big deal about proving that the universe has a Creator based on the testimony of this disbeliever man. And this is, in reality, an indication of the weakness of his faith, because the news of Allah and His Messenger regarding that is more truthful and more obligatory for faith. Yes, if we were to argue with a denier who does not believe in the religions, we would say to him: Your companion, who is like you, has acknowledged that the universe has a Creator. Perhaps that would be useful, and this would be in the category of establishing his proof against him. But we make this an absolute proof, and there is doubt in that.
And among the benefits of this noble verse is the emphasis that these disbelievers will be informed of what they did, due to His saying:[Fussilat 41:50]. When will this be? It will be on the Day of Resurrection. If someone asks: Does this restriction have a meaning? Or is it to clarify the reality? [Fussilat 41:50] The answer is that it is to clarify the reality; it does not have a meaning. Because if you gave it a meaning, the believers would not be informed of what they did, even though they are informed. Allah the Exalted said: [Az-Zalzalah 99:7] And it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that Allah isolates His believing servant and confronts him with his sins: You did such-and-such on such-and-such day. So the restriction of being informed to the disbeliever is to clarify the reality, meaning that the reality of these who denied is that they will be informed of what they did.
And among the benefits of this noble verse is that everything is restricted and preserved for the human being; everything is restricted and calculated for the human being. We take this from His saying: For is a relative pronoun that indicates generality. And Allah the Exalted said: [Qaf 50:18] Meaning, whatever word you utter, you have a watcher present—'atid means present—who writes what you say.
And among the benefits of this noble verse is that the punishment of these disbelievers will be severe, meaning harsh, because the meaning of harshness is severity, and it is in every place according to its context. The harshness of temperament is not like the harshness of clay or dough or the like. The harshness of punishment is not like the harshness of clay and dough and the harshness of speech and the like. Every harshness is according to its kind.
And among the benefits of the noble verse is the establishment of the punishment in the Hereafter[Fussilat 41:50]. Is there any punishment before the Hereafter? The answer is yes; the human being is punished in his grave before he is resurrected. And this is established in the Qur'an and the Sunnah. Listen to it in the Qur'an; Allah the Exalted said: [Al-An'am 6:93] So His saying: indicates that they are stingy with their souls and do not want them to come out. For this reason, it is said: as a rebuke. Then it is said to them: [Al-An'am 6:93] When is the day? The day of your death, you will be recompensed with the punishment of humiliation. And this is a text in the establishment of the punishment of the grave. And Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, said about the family of Fir'aun: [Ghafir: 46]. As for the Sunnah, it is overflowing with that and abundant, including what the Muslims have agreed upon, for all Muslims say in the prayer: I seek refuge in Allah from the punishment of the Hellfire and from the punishment of the grave. And can it be imagined that someone seeks refuge from something unless he believes in its existence? Strange, it cannot be imagined. So the punishment of the grave is established by the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and consensus. And upon this, the punishment mentioned in His saying: [Fussilat 41:50] is the punishment of the Hereafter, and it is more severe than the punishment of the grave. May Allah protect us and you from that. Yes.
