Explanation of the Book of Tawhid-11

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then he said: "And from Tariq ibn Shihab (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet, Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), said:
A man entered Paradise because of a fly
"
.
Paradise or Paradise? Where is the doer? A man? So this is contrary to the original rule?
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : Fine, and his saying:
because of a fly في ذباب
the "in" here is for causality, meaning because of, and not for temporality, it is known
and a man entered the Fire because of a fly
meaning because of it, because of a fly, does he enter Paradise or does he not enter the Fire? Yes...
They said: How is that, O Messenger of Allah? He said: Two men passed by a people who had an idol. No one would pass by them without offering something to it. So they said to one of them: Offer something. He said: I have nothing to offer. They said to him: Offer something, even if it is a fly. So he offered a fly, and they let him go, and he entered the Fire.

So, slaughtering for other than Allah is slaughtering something that is eaten or something that is not eaten? Of course, something that is eaten, but his intent was to draw near to this idol, so he was an associate of partners with Allah and entered the Fire.
And they said to the other: Offer something. He said: I would never offer anything to anyone other than Allah, Mighty and Majestic. So they beheaded him, and he entered Paradise.
Narrated by Ahmad. The truth of this hadith is that I am sorry that those who extract the hadiths of the chapter did not bring us anything about it...
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : this
The student: This is the tenth.

The Shaykh : This is the tenth, where is 'Abd al-Rahman... It is present, do you have this? Do you have the tenth to the twelfth? No, what I have is number ten and twelve, 'Abd al-Rahman... and 'Abd Allah... In any case, I want the one responsible for its takhrij to give it to me, this hadith first, okay?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : The commentator... is not present, but perhaps it is in the Book of Sunnah by Imam Ahmad.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : Wait, wait, and the hadith first is from Tariq ibn Shihab. The biographers agreed that he did not hear from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and they differed regarding his status as a Companion. Some affirmed it and some denied it. So now, if we say that he is a Companion, it does not harm whether he heard from the Messenger or not, and that a Companion's mursal is a proof, as is well known. And if we say he is not a Companion, then it is mursal, and a mursal from other than a Companion is among the categories of weak. This is one.
Second: The hadith is mun'an'an from al-A'mash, Sulayman ibn Mهران, and you know that al-A'mash is among the mudallis, and this is a defect in the hadith. So the hadith is somewhat doubtful in one's mind because of this, because of these two reasons.
The student: If... Good.

The Shaykh : Better
The student: ...

The Shaykh : What... the issue is, if a person offers to the idol less than a fly, he is an associate of partners with Allah, okay?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Yes, correct...
Slaughtering or all acts of worship? And if it is the first, it is from the category of coordinating different things, and if it is the second, it is from the category of coordinating the general with the specific. Yes, and this second includes slaughtering, because slaughtering is an act of worship, understood? And we preferred the generality, meaning it includes slaughtering. And if we specified it with slaughtering, the rest of the acts of worship would be excluded, except for prayer and slaughtering.
And his saying:
So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone].
[Al-Kawthar 108:2]
We said that the intended meaning of "nahr" here is the ritual slaughter of camels, and it also includes "dhabh," which is done for cows and sheep. And it is evidence that slaughtering is an act of worship, because Allah the Exalted commanded it. Yes, let's go.
