Explanation of the author's statement: And the saying of Allah the Exalted: "Do not stand in it ever, for a mosque founded on piety from the first day is more worthy that you stand in it, in which are men who love to purify themselves, and Allah loves those who purify themselves"

The Shaykh : The author said: "And the saying of Allah the Exalted:
Do not stand [for prayer] within it - ever. A mosque founded on righteousness from the first day is more worthy for you to stand in. Within it are men who love to purify themselves; and Allah loves those who purify themselves.
[At-Tawbah 9:108]
"

The saying of Allah the Exalted:
Do not stand [for prayer] within it لا تقم فيه
[At-Tawbah 9:108]
The pronoun refers to a mosque, a built mosque, but the intention behind this mosque is defective.
And [there are] those [hypocrites] who took for themselves a mosque for causing harm and disbelief and division among the believers and as a station for whoever had warred against Allah and His Messenger
[At-Tawbah 9:107]
I seek refuge in Allah, how evil are the intentions with which they took it, as harm to the mosque of Quba. It is around the mosque of Quba, close to it, and some people have shown us its location... it is now a dump at the edge of a wall around the mosque of Quba. This mosque was taken as harm, meaning as a rival to the mosque of Quba. And secondly, as disbelief in Allah, for therein they establish disbelief, and may Allah protect us from that, because those who took it are hypocrites.
And secondly, to divide the believers. Instead of praying in the mosque of Quba in one or two rows, where half a row would pray there, and the rest would go to the other mosque. The Shari'ah has a consideration for the gathering of the believers.
as a station for whoever had warred against Allah and His Messenger
[At-Tawbah 9:107]
It is said that there was a man who went to Sham, and he was an open sinner, and that there were communications between him and the hypocrites who took the mosque, so they established this mosque under his direction, and they gathered therein to establish what they desired of treachery and plotting against the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions. And Allah, Allah the Exalted said:
And they will surely swear, "We intended only the best."
[At-Tawbah 9:107]
This is the garden of the hypocrites: the garden of the hypocrites is the false oaths. "And they will surely swear" — the "in" is a negation lightened from the heavy form, the evidence being the occurrence of the exception after it. "If we had only intended the good" means we did not intend anything but the good. And the answer to this false oath is:
And Allah testifies that indeed they are liars.
[At-Tawbah 9:107]
Allah is the Greatest... the hypocrites... The testimony and the wisdom of this is that what they conceal in their hearts, and none knows what is in the hearts except the Knower of the Unseen, so this hidden matter in their hearts, in relation to Allah, is as if it is a witnessed matter seen with the eye. Yes, and for this reason He said:
and Allah testifies that the hypocrites are liars.
[Al-Munafiqun 63:1]
in the Surah of the Hypocrites, and here He said:
And Allah testifies that indeed they are liars.
[At-Tawbah 9:107]
.
Then He said:
Do not stand [for prayer] within it - ever
[At-Tawbah 9:108]
"La" is a prohibitive particle, and "taqum" is a present tense verb in the jussive mood due to the prohibitive "la," and the sign of its jussive mood is... O students of Sibawayhi?
The student: The deletion of the waw.

The Shaykh : The deletion of the waw? No, no, you have not had your fill of the milk of Sibawayhi. The apparent sign of its jussive mood is sukun, but the waw was deleted because its end was in a state of sukun and the waw is also in a state of sukun, so it was deleted.
He said:
Do not stand [for prayer] within it - ever
[At-Tawbah 9:108]
And this is an indication that this mosque will remain a mosque of hypocrisy, and may Allah protect us from that, and it is not possible for it to turn into a mosque of faith.
His saying:
A mosque founded on righteousness
[At-Tawbah 9:108]
This "lam" is for the beginning, and "masjid" is the subject, and its predicate is:
is more worthy for you to stand in
[At-Tawbah 9:108]
And in his saying:
A mosque founded on righteousness
[At-Tawbah 9:108]
In this indefiniteness there is magnification, as evidenced by his saying:
founded on righteousness أُسِّسَ عَلَى التَّقْوَى
[At-Tawbah 9:108]
Meaning: Piety was made its foundation, so it stood upon piety.
is more worthy for you to stand in
[At-Tawbah 9:108]
Meaning, from this mosque of harm, it is more worthy. The apparent meaning, and Allah knows best, is that it is the obligatory worthiness, meaning it is obligatory, whereas that one is not permissible to stand in. Then he said:
Within it are men who love to purify themselves
[At-Tawbah 9:108]

A mosque founded on righteousness from the first day is more worthy for you to stand in
[At-Tawbah 9:108]
And we have explained that this means the mosque of harm, and the point of relevance is that since the mosque of harm was taken for sins, as harm, disbelief, and division among the believers, and Allah the Exalted forbade His Messenger to stand in it, there is evidence in it that any place in which Allah the Glorious and Exalted is disobeyed, then one does not stand in it. So this mosque was taken for prayer, but it is a place of disobedience, so prayer is not established in it. If a person wanted to slaughter in this place, and he is one who slaughters for other than Allah, that would be forbidden, because it resembles prayer in the mosque of harm, which contains disobedience to Allah. I think we have completed the discussion of the verse to its end? Because the author says the verse is
A mosque founded on righteousness from the first day is more worthy for you to stand in. Within it are men who love to purify themselves
[At-Tawbah 9:108]
in it, meaning: in this mosque.
men who love to purify themselves
[At-Tawbah 9:108]
Unlike the mosque of harm, for in it are men, all of them filth, as in His saying:
They will swear by Allah to you when you return to them that you would leave them alone. So leave them alone; indeed they are evil
[At-Tawbah 9:95]
So the hypocrites are filth, and the people of the mosque of Quba love to purify themselves, and Allah loves those who purify themselves.
His saying:
purify themselves يتطهروا
: It encompasses the purity of the heart and the purity of the body. Purity of the heart from what? From shirk (associating partners with Allah), hypocrisy, hatred, and grudge, and everything that defiles the heart. And the purity of the body from impurities and dirt.
and Allah loves those who purify themselves.
[At-Tawbah 9:108]
Its original form is "al-mutatahhirin" (the purifiers), but the taa was assimilated into the taa for a known grammatical reason. And his saying:
loves يحب
This is a love established for Allah the Glorious and Exalted, truly He loves truly, as befits His Majesty and His Greatness. And the people of distortion say that the meaning of love is reward or His will, so they interpret it either as an action or as the will to act. There is no doubt that this is an error, and that the correct view is to affirm the love of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), but it is not like the love of the created beings.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : Yes, correct, because this is a place in which Allah the Glorious and Exalted is disobeyed, and Allah forbade His Prophet to stand in it. The place in which one slaughters for other than Allah is a place in which Allah is disobeyed, so one is forbidden to worship Allah in it, just as one is forbidden to worship Allah with prayer in the mosque of harm. Yes.
