What is prescribed for one who attends the Eid prayer ground

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: The brother who indicated his name as A.A.A. from Riyadh says in his question: I noticed that some people, when they come for the Eid prayer, pray two rak'ahs, while some do not pray, some recite the Qur'an before the prayer, and some engage in takbir (Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illa Allah, Allahu Akbar, wa lillah al-hamd).
I ask your Eminence to clarify the ruling of the Shari'ah regarding these matters, and whether there is a difference between praying in the mosque or in the Eid prayer ground?

A: It is the Sunnah for one who attends the Eid prayer ground for the Eid prayer, or for the prayer for rain, to sit and not pray the greeting of the mosque (tahiyat al-masjid); because that was not transmitted from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) nor from his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) , as far as we know, except if the prayer is in the mosque, in which case he prays the greeting of the mosque; due to the generality of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
If anyone of you enters a Mosque, he should not sit until he has offered a tworak` at prayer.إذا دخل أحدكم المسجد فلا يجلس حتى يصلي ركعتين
Sahih al-Bukhari 1167
It is agreed upon as authentic.
And what is prescribed for one who sits waiting for the Eid prayer is to increase in the tahlil and takbir; because that is the symbol of that day, and it is the Sunnah for everyone, inside the mosque and outside, until the sermon ends. And whoever engages in reciting the Qur'an, there is no harm in that. And Allah is the possessor of success.
