Ruling on Residing Between the Graves

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
In some countries, some people reside between the graves. What is the ruling?

Answer:
They should be stopped and taught, for this is an abomination and a desecration of the graves. If they pray near them, their prayer is invalid. Sitting near the graves in the manner described and praying near them are among the abominations. This is based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Do not pray toward graves and do not sit on them.لا تصلوا إلى القبور ولا تجلسوا عليها
Sunan an-Nasa'i 760Sahih (Darussalam)
narrated by Muslim in his Sahih, and his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
May Allah curse the Jews and the Christians who took the graves of their prophets as mosques. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: He warned against what they did.لعن الله اليهود والنصارىى اتخذوا قبور أنبيائهم مساجد قالت عائشة رضي الله عنها يحذر ما صنعوا
agreed upon for its authenticity.
