Hajj on behalf of parents who died without having performed it

Question: What is the ruling on performing Hajj on behalf of parents who died without having performed it?

Answer: It is permissible for you to perform Hajj on behalf of your parents yourself, or to appoint someone to perform it on their behalf, provided that you have performed Hajj for yourself, or that the person performing it on their behalf has performed Hajj for himself. This is based on what was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) regarding the hadith of Shubrumah.
