Ruling on one who broke his fast, did not know the number of days, and delayed making them up

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: I am a Muslim, and praise be to Allah, but in the past I did not fast every Ramadan; that is, I would break my fast for days without an excuse. I am now regretful and repentant, knowing that I do not know the number of days I broke my fast. What is obligatory for me now?

Answer: It is obligatory for you to make up the days you broke your fast according to your estimate and your best judgment, along with repentance to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), regret for what happened on your part, and the resolve not to return to it.
In addition to that, you must feed one poor person for each day, according to the number of days you think you left, which is half a sa' (a dry measure of about 3 kg) for each day, approximately one and a half kilograms, which you give to some of the poor. We ask Allah to grant you sincere repentance, and to forgive us and you.
