And prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
We have previously mentioned that intercession (shafa'ah) in the Arabic language means making the odd number even, such as making one into two, three into four, and five into six, and so on. And that in technical terminology, it means mediating on behalf of another to bring about a benefit or avert a harm. And that the status of the intercessor is higher than the status of the one for whom intercession is sought. And that Allah the Exalted permits it for two benefits: the benefit of the one for whom intercession is sought, and the benefit of the intercessor, so that He may honor him and he may attain the Praiseworthy Station.
And that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has three intercessions on the Day of Resurrection: two specific intercessions, and one general intercession for him and for others.
The first of the two specific intercessions is: intercession for the people of the Standing Place until judgment is rendered between them. In this intercession, the prophets of resolve and Adam are mentioned. The people go to Adam, then to Noah, then to Abraham, then to Moses, then to Jesus, until it ends with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He stands and intercedes with Allah by Allah's permission until Allah the Exalted renders judgment between the servants.
This is part of the Praiseworthy Station that Allah promised him in His saying:
And from [part of] the night, pray with it as additional [worship] for you; it is expected that your Lord will resurrect you to a praised station. ومن الليل فتهجد به نافلة لك عسى أن يبعثك ربك مقاما محمود
[Al-Isra 17:79]
