The Shaykh : He said: "And He, Glorified and Exalted is He, loves the righteous, the doers of good, and the just".
Is there evidence for His love of the doers of good?
And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.
[Al-Baqarah 2:195]
and the righteous
So as long as they are upright toward you, be upright toward them. Indeed, Allah loves the righteous [who fear Him].
[At-Tawbah 9:7]
and the just
and act justly. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.
[Al-Hujurat 49:9]
.
So He, Mighty and Majestic, loves these people. And yet, it is He who decreed for them this action that He loves. Good.
"And is pleased with those who believed" There is the just and the unjust. Which one is praised? Is it the just?
Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.
[Al-Ma'idah 5:42]
But as for the unjust, they will be, for Hell, firewood.'
[Al-Jinn 72:15]
What is the difference between the just and the unjust, Muhammad Nur? What is the difference between the just and the unjust?
The student: The just ... .

The Shaykh : Huh?
The student: ... Glorified and Exalted is He.

The Shaykh : No.
The student: The just is a four-letter verb, aqasta, and the unjust is a three-letter verb, qasta.

The Shaykh : This is from the perspective of morphology, but from the perspective of meaning?
The student: The just is the one who is fair.

The Shaykh : The one who is fair.
The student: The unjust is the one who is oppressive.

The Shaykh : The one who is unjust? Yes. Good
The just ones will be on minbars of light, on the right hand of the Most Merciful, and both His hands are right. They are those who are just in their families and in what they are entrusted with.
. The just ones, whereas the unjust is the one who is oppressive, yes.
This is similar in some respects to the one who makes a mistake and the one who errs; the one who makes a mistake is the one who committed the error unintentionally, and the one who errs is the one who committed it intentionally. Good.
He says: "And is pleased with those who believed and did righteous deeds, and does not love the disbelievers"
"Is pleased with those who believed and did righteous deeds" What is the evidence?
And the first forerunners [in the faith] among the Muhajireen and the Ansar and those who followed them with good conduct - Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Himوالسَّابِقُونَ الْأَوَّلُونَ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنْصَارِ وَالَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُمْ بِإِحْسَانٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ
[At-Tawbah 9:100]
. And Allah the Exalted said:
(7) Indeed, they who have believed and done righteous deeds - those are the best of creatures. (8) Their reward with Allah will be gardens of perpetual residence beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, Allah being pleased with them and they with Him.
[Al-Bayyinah 98:7-8]
.
"And does not love the disbelievers" What is the evidence? No, the disbelievers. Yes?
But if they turn away - then indeed, Allah does not like the disbelievers.
[Ali 'Imran 3:32]
Good.
Even though disbelief occurs by His will, but by His will, we do not say it is a cosmic will: because the will is cosmic, even though disbelief occurs by His will, it does not follow from its occurrence by His will that it is beloved to Him, Glorified and Exalted is He.
And He is not pleased with the people who are open sinners. The evidence:
But if you should be satisfied with them - indeed, Allah is not satisfied with a defiantly disobedient people.
[At-Tawbah 9:96]
.
The open sinner is the one who departs from the obedience of Allah, and it may be intended to mean the disbeliever, or it may be intended to mean the disobedient. Yes?
So in His saying, the Exalted:
(18) Then is one who was a believer like one who was defiantly disobedient? They are not equal. (19) As for those who believed and did righteous deeds, for them will be the Gardens of Refuge as accommodation for what they used to do. (20) But as for those who defiantly disobeyed, their refuge is the Fire. Every time they wish to emerge from it, they will be returned to it while it is said to them, "Taste the punishment of the Fire which you used to deny."
[As-Sajdah 32:18-20]
. The intended meaning of open sinfulness here is disbelief.
And as for His saying, the Exalted:
O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate
[Al-Hujurat 49:6]
. The intended meaning of open sinfulness is disobedience. The open sinner means the disobedient.
So Allah, Mighty and Majestic, is not pleased with the people who are open sinners, neither these nor those. But the open sinners in the sense of disbelievers, He is not pleased with them absolutely. And as for the open sinners in the sense of the disobedient, He is not pleased with them in what they sinned in, but He is pleased with them in what they obeyed in.
