Explanation of the words of Ibn Malik (may Allah have mercy on him): "And if they transit to one without *** hamzah, then no dual is reached by it."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : All right, he said:
"And if they transit to one without *** hamzah, then no dual is reached by it"
"If they transit": the subject of 'alima (knew) and ra'a (saw), to one without hamzah, and that is like 'ilm al-'irfan (knowledge of recognition), where 'alima means: to know, you say: I knew Zayd, meaning: I recognized him, it transits to what?
The student: To one.

The Shaykh : To one, if they transit to one, then the hamzah entered them to transit to two, because the hamzah is called the hamzah of transit since it causes the verb to transit to what it did not transit to before, all right you say: Zayd saw 'Umar, Zayd saw 'Umar, this seeing is what?
The student: Visual.

The Shaykh : Does it make the object accusative?
The student: One object.

The Shaykh : One object, you say: I showed Zayd 'Umar, meaning: I made him look at him, how many did you make accusative?
The student: Two objects.

The Shaykh : You made two objects accusative, because before the hamzah it made one object accusative, so when the hamzah entered it, it made two objects accusative.
