The Ruling on Fasting the Days of Tashriq

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: Is it permissible for a person who owes fasting during Hajj because he was unable to provide the sacrificial animal to fast for three of the days of Tashriq?

Answer: You must fast for three days of Tashriq during Hajj. This is a dispensation for those who did not fast in the previous days and specifically for those who are unable to provide the sacrifice. Otherwise, the days of Tashriq are days of eating and drinking; they are not to be fasted, and fasting them is not obligatory except for this person and this category of people, namely the one who is unable to provide the sacrifice. He is permitted to fast specifically for three days, and seven days when he returns to his family: the eleventh, twelfth, and thirteenth days of Dhul-Hijjah.
