The ruling on the sufficiency of a single fidyah for one who neglects an obligatory act or commits a prohibited act

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: If a pilgrim neglects one of the obligatory acts of Hajj, such as not entering the state of ihram from the miqat, or taking something from his body like hair or a fingernail, or covering his head, is a single fidyah sufficient for that, or does each neglected obligatory act or prohibited act require a separate fidyah? May Allah reward you with good.
Answer: If one neglects an obligatory act of Hajj, such as entering the state of ihram from the miqat, he must slaughter a sacrificial animal in the sacred precinct for the poor. The animal must be of a type that is acceptable as an 'Id sacrifice, or one-seventh of a camel or one-seventh of a cow. If he cannot find one, he must fast for ten days: three days during Hajj and seven days when he returns to his family.
As for one who commits a prohibited act of ihram, such as cutting hair or nails, or wearing sewn clothing, while being aware of the prohibition and mindful of it, he must pay the fidyah for that. The fidyah is feeding six poor people, with each poor person receiving half a sa' (a dry measure of about 3 kg), or slaughtering a sheep that is acceptable as an 'Id sacrifice, or fasting for three days. This is based on the authentic hadith of Ka'b ibn Ujrah regarding this matter. If he was forgetful or ignorant, he owes nothing. And success is from Allah.
