Is it permissible for the agent to keep what remains of his principal's money?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: If my father sent me to buy some items, and a surplus amount of money remained with me after my purchases, is it permissible for me to keep this amount without my father's knowledge?

Answer: It is not permissible for you to keep what remains of the money your father gave you to buy some necessities; rather, you must return it to your father. This is because it is part of fulfilling the trust that is commanded in His saying (Glorified and Exalted is He) :
Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are dueإِنَّ اللّهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَن تُؤدُّواْ الأَمَانَاتِ إِلَى أَهْلِهَا
[Surat al-Nisa: 58].
