The Ruling on the Silver Ring
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: What is the ruling on wearing a silver ring on the fingers of the hand for a man?
Answer: There is no harm in wearing a silver ring for men and women; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) wore silver rings. As for the gold ring, it is permissible for women but not for men, because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade wearing rings of gold. When he saw a man with a gold ring on his hand, he threw it away with his hand and said: Imam Muslim narrated it in his Sahih.
And it is better for a man to place it, I mean the silver ring, on the ring finger; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to wear it on his ring finger.
