The ruling on one whose love of Allah is equal to his love of the created?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If the love of the created becomes equal to the love of Allah...?

Answer:
The love of Allah must be above the love of the created; otherwise, it is a deficiency in faith and a sin. The love of Allah and His Messenger must be above the love of the created beings. For this reason, when 'Umar ibn al-Khattab said: "O Messenger of Allah, you are dearer to me than everything except myself," the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
No, by Him in Whose Hand my soul is, (you will not have complete faith) till I am dearer to you than your own self.لا يا عمر حتى أكون أحب إليك من نفسك
Sahih al-Bukhari 6632
. He said: "You are dearer to me than everything, even myself." He said:
Now, O 'Umarالآن يا عمر
, meaning that now is the perfection of faith.
Q: He says: If it is equal?
The Shaykh: The point is that the love of Allah must be above the love of the created beings. If it is equal to it or less, that is a deficiency in faith and a weakness in faith, but it does not become disbelief. Loving Allah and His Messenger is a condition of faith; it is obligatory. However, for his love of himself, his wife, or his mother and father to be less than his love of Allah, with the love of Allah being above that and the love of the Messenger being above that, this is from the perfection of faith:
Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the sweetness (delight) of faith: 1. The one to whom Allah and His Apostle becomes dearer than anything else.ثلاث من كن فيه وجد بهن حلاوة الإيمان: أن يكون الله ورسوله أحب إليه مما سواهما...
Sahih al-Bukhari 16
. He finds the sweetness of faith through this.
Q: Does making them equal become disbelief?
The Shaykh: No, it does not become disbelief. Disbelief is the absence of love.
