Ruling on possessing the book "In the Shade of the Qur'an"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If one has the book "In the Shade of the Qur'an," is it permissible for him to benefit from it or should he burn it?

Answer:
By Allah, I have not reflected on it much, and it contains some errors. However, if it is kept with him and he benefits from it, provided he is a student of knowledge, praise be to Allah. But if he is not among the people of knowledge, he should seek the books of the Salaf; the books of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, the books of Ibn al-Qayyim, and the books of the well-known Imams of hadith. "In the Shade of the Qur'an" contains errors, and the understanding student of knowledge knows the errors. And few are the books that do not contain errors, other than the Book of Allah.
