The Book of Marriage, Breastfeeding, Divorce, Mutual Oath-Swearing, and Manumission-08b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: And Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim al-Duqni narrated to me from Ibn 'Ulayyah from Yunus from Muhammad ibn Sirin from Yunus ibn Jubayr, who said: I said to Ibn 'Umar: "A man divorced his wife while she was menstruating. He said: Do you know 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar? He divorced his wife while she was menstruating, so 'Umar went to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked him, and he ordered him to take her back, and then she should start a new waiting period. He said: So I said to him: If a man divorces his wife while she is menstruating, does that divorce count? He said: His mouth, or if he was incapable and foolish."
