Benefits of the Hadith: (… then he said, “No, I drank honey at the house of Zaynab bint Jahsh, and I will not return to it.”)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And in the hadith of Zaynab, the first hadith, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said
I will not return to drinking honey لن أعود إلى شرب العسل
and Allah named that a prohibition. This indicates that the prohibition of a thing does not require the specific wording of prohibition; rather, anything that indicates abstaining from it is a prohibition. Just as committing to a thing does not require the specific wording of a vow; rather, whatever a person commits to and binds himself to is a vow, regardless of the wording used. This serves as evidence for the position of the Shaykh al-Islam (may Allah have mercy on him) that all contracts are established by whatever indicates them, regardless of the wording used. This includes marriage; if a man says, for example, “I have given you my daughter in marriage,” and the other says, “I accept,” the marriage is established by that. Yes.
