The reciter: And Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah and Zuhr ibn Harb narrated to us, and the wording is that of Abu Bakr, and they said: Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us from Yahya ibn Sa'id, who heard 'Ubayd ibn Hunayn, and he was the client of al-Abbas, say: I heard Ibn 'Abbas say:
I used to want to ask 'Umar about the two women who pronounced zihar during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). I waited for a year without finding an opportunity until I accompanied him to Makkah. When we reached al-Mir' al-Dhahran, he went to relieve himself and said, "Bring me a water jar." I brought it to him. When he had relieved himself and returned, I went to pour water over his hands and remembered, so I said to him, "O Commander of the Faithful, who are the two women?" Before I finished my sentence, he said, "A'ishah and Hafzah."
