The reciter: And Hammad ibn 'Umar narrated it to us, Abu 'Awanah narrated to us from Tariq from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, who said:
My father was among those who pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) under the tree. He said: So we set out the following year as pilgrims, but its location was hidden from us. If it has become clear to you, then you know best. كَانَ أَبِي مِمَّنْ بَايَعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ الشَّجَرَةِ، قَالَ : فَانْطَلَقْنَا فِي قَابِلٍ حَاجِّينَ، فَخَفِيَ عَلَيْنَا مَكَانُهَا، فَإِنْ كَانَتْ تَبَيَّنَتْ لَكُمْ فَأَنْتُمْ أَعْلَمُ
