Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: And Ishaq ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, al-Makhzumi informed us, Wahib narrated to us, Amr ibn Yahya narrated to us, from 'Abbad ibn Tamim, from 'Abdullah ibn Zayd, who said:
A person came to him and said: Here is Ibn Hanzala who is making people swear allegiance to him. He (, Abdullah) asked: To what effect? He replied: To the effect that they will die for him. 'Abdullah said: I will never swear allegiance to this effect after the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).
Sahih Muslim 1861
.

The Shaykh : This is to be understood in light of what was mentioned previously, namely that the meaning is that they do not seek death, so that the two narrations agree.
