If a tree is used for seeking blessing by the ignorant, do we have the right to cut it down?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : If the tree is used for seeking blessing and it is on someone's property, does any person have the right to remove it?

The Shaykh : If it is within the property of another, he has the right to prevent people from entering. If this tree, which the ignorant seek blessing from, or a grave, is within a person's property, he has the right to prevent them from entering his property absolutely. So if he fears that they might climb over the wall, for example, he cuts down the tree and conceals the grave.

The questioner : The owner of the property seeks blessing from this tree.

The Shaykh : The harm is in the stomach, meaning if he has authority, like an emir or a ruler, he has the right to enter and cut it down. No, it is not permissible, because it may lead to fitnah (trial, discord or temptation). He might be killed before he cuts it down. May Allah reward you. Is this issue an actual occurrence or not?

The questioner : It may occur.

The Shaykh : Remove the word "may" from your speech. What is the need to argue about something that has not happened? This is a hypothetical case. So we say that no one has the authority to change evil except through the ruler, so that harm does not occur.
