Continuation of the explanation of the author's statement: "And breastfeeding prohibits what blood relations prohibit, except for the mother of his sister and the sister of his son"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The breastfed child, yes, tell us: the breastfed child has ancestors and descendants, and what else? He has collateral relatives. Breastfeeding only affects his descendants; it has no effect whatsoever on his ancestors or collateral relatives. Therefore, it is permissible for the brother of the breastfed child to marry his mother, and it is permissible for the father of the breastfed child to marry the mother who breastfed him. Is that clear, everyone?

The questioner : Clear.

The Shaykh : If you understand this rule, applying it will be easy for you, because many people get confused regarding the issue of breastfeeding. The rule is that breastfeeding only affects the breastfed child and those who descend from him, meaning the breastfed child and his descendants. His brothers, fathers, and mothers have no involvement in the matter. Did you understand, everyone? Good, is that clear, Abdullah? Good.
