The Shaykh : As for the hadith of Khubayb ibn al-Art (may Allah be pleased with him): it relates the harm that the Muslims suffered from the disbelievers of Quraysh in Makkah. So they came to complain to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was leaning on a cloak of his in the shade of the Ka'bah, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him. The Prophet (may the prayer and peace of Allah be upon him) made it clear that those before us were tested in their religion with something greater than what these people were tested with. A hole would be dug for a man and he would be thrown into it, then a saw would be brought to the parting of his head and he would be cut, and also he would be combed with iron combs between his skin and his bone, combed with iron combs. This is a great strengthening and a great harm. Then he (may the prayer and peace of Allah be upon him) swore that Allah will perfect this matter, meaning: He will perfect what the Messenger (may the prayer and peace of Allah be upon him) brought of the call to Islam, until the traveler goes from Sana'a to Hadramawt fearing nothing but Allah and the wolf for his sheep, meaning: So be patient and wait for relief from Allah, for Allah will perfect this matter. And the matter became as the Prophet (may the prayer and peace of Allah be upon him) swore, so in this hadith is a sign of the signs of Allah where the matter occurred in accordance with what the Prophet (may the prayer and peace of Allah be upon him) informed of, and a sign of the signs of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) where Allah confirmed him in what he informed of, and this is a testimony from Allah for him regarding the message, as He the Exalted said: [An-Nisa 4:166].
And in it is also: evidence for the obligation of patience against the harm of the enemies of the Muslims. And if a person is patient, he will succeed. So it is obligatory for a person to respond to the harm that occurs from the disbelievers with patience, seeking reward, and waiting for relief, and not to think that the matter will end quickly and easily. Allah the Mighty and Majestic may test the believers with disbelievers who harm them and perhaps kill them, as they killed the prophets. The Jews, the Children of Israel, killed the prophets, who are greater than the callers to Allah and greater than the Muslims. So let him be patient and wait for relief, and not be weary or annoyed. He remains anchored on a rock, and the outcome is for the righteous, and Allah the Exalted is with the patient. So if he is patient and perseveres and follows the paths that lead to the objective without chaos, without mobilization, and without incitement, but in an organized way, because the enemies of the Muslims from the hypocrites and disbelievers walk on a fixed, organized line and achieve their objective. As for the superficial ones whose emotions take them so that they revolt and mobilize, much may be lost to them, and perhaps a slip will occur from them that ruins everything they built, if they had built anything. But for the believer to be patient, to be calm, to work with calmness, to prepare himself, and to plan an organized plan by which he eliminates the enemies of Allah from the hypocrites and disbelievers, and deprives them of opportunities, because they lie in wait for the people of good, wanting to incite them so that when something happens from some of them, they then rise against them and say: This is what we wanted, and great evil results from that. So the Prophet (may the prayer and peace of Allah be upon him) said to his companions: Be patient. The person before you, and you are more deserving of patience than he was. This treatment was done to him and he was patient. So you, O Ummah of Muhammad, the Ummah of patience and excellence, be patient until Allah brings His command, and the outcome is for the righteous. So you, O person, do not remain silent about evil, but work with a system, with planning, with good conduct, and wait for relief from Allah and do not be weary. Do not be weary, the path is long, especially if you are at the beginning of the fitnah. For those who carry it out will try as much as they can to reach the peak of what they want, so cut off their path and be more patient than they are and more cunning than they are, for these enemies plot and Allah plots, and Allah is the best of plotters. And Allah is the one who grants success.
But you are in a hurry
ولكنكم تستعجلونBut Allah bears witness to that which He has revealed to you. He has sent it down with His knowledge, and the angels bear witness [as well]. And sufficient is Allah as Witness.
And in it is also: evidence for the obligation of patience against the harm of the enemies of the Muslims.
