The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
In the remainder of the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) about the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding the story of the three men from the Children of Israel, whom Allah intended to test, and they were a leper, a bald man, and a blind man. We have previously mentioned the leper and the bald man, and that the first was given a pregnant she-camel, and the second was given a pregnant cow. The blind man:Sahih Muslim 2964 This is the most desirable thing for him, that Allah remove this defect from him, which is blindness, so that he can see people. Consider the words of the blind man: Sahih Muslim 2964 He did not ask for anything but sight by which he could see people only. As for the leper and the bald man, each of them wished for something greater than need: good skin, good color, and good hair. It was not just hair, or just skin, or just color, but they wished for something greater. As for this one, he had asceticism; he did not ask for anything but sight by which he could see people only. Then he asked him what wealth was most desirable to him, and he said, 'Sheep.' This is also part of his asceticism; he did not wish for camels or cows, but sheep. The proportion of sheep to camels and cows is small. So Allah, the Exalted, blessed the first in his camels, the second in his cows, and the third in his sheep. And each of them came to have a valley of what he was given: the first had a valley of camels, the second had a valley of cows, and the third had a valley of sheep. This means a complete valley.
His physical appearance and his ragged form, and his clothing was the clothing of a poor man. Sahih Muslim 2964 He was stingy with him, even though he had a valley of camels, but he said, 'There are many rights.' It appears, and Allah knows best, that he does not fulfill any of them, because this traveler, who is poor and whose means have been cut off, is the most deserving of help. And yet he made it difficult for him and reminded him of what he had been before.
And refuge is sought in Allah. Sahih Muslim 2964 He denied the blessing of Allah. Sahih al-Bukhari 3464 And what appears is that Allah answered the angel's supplication, even though it was a conditional supplication, but he was certainly lying. So when the condition was fulfilled, the consequence was fulfilled.
So he acknowledged the blessing of Allah upon him. Meaning, I will not prevent you, nor will I burden you with prevention by anything you take for the sake of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic. The gratitude and acknowledgment of the blessing brought relief.
And this indicates that the story was well-known among the people, and for this reason he said: So keep your wealth. And he remained, and Allah had blessed him with sight. As for the other two, it appears that Allah returned them to what they were of poverty and affliction, and refuge is sought in Allah. And in this is proof that thanking Allah for His blessings upon the servant is among the causes for the preservation and increase of blessings, as He, the Exalted, said: [Ibrahim 14:7] And Allah knows best.
The reader: The author (may Allah have mercy on him) quoted "from Shaddad ibn Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said:Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2459Da'if (Darussalam) Narrated by al-Tirmidhi and others, and he said it is a good hadith. And the meaning of 'accounted himself' is 'evaluated himself'."

Then he came to the blind man and he said: Which thing do you like most? He said: Allah should restore my eyesight so that I should be able to see people with the help of that.
Allah should restore my eyesight so that I should be able to see people with the help of that
So he gave him a pregnant ewe and said, "May Allah bless you in it."
Then this angel came to the leper in his appearance and form.
I am a destitute person and a wayfarer. My provision have ran short and today there is no way to reach the destination but with the help of Allah and then with your help
I ask you by the One who gave you good skin and wealth for a camel to enjoy in my journey. But he said, "There are many rights."
So he said to him, "Did I not know you? Or did I not know you? You were a leper whom people disliked, and poor, so Allah gave you wealth and good color and good skin. But he said,
I have inherited this property from my forefathers
The angel said, 'If you are telling a lie, then let Allah make you as you were before.
And he came to the one with the gap in his teeth and said to him what he had said to the leper, and the one with the gap in his teeth replied to him as the leper had replied to him, saying, If you are lying, may Allah return you to what you were. And he came to the blind man and reminded him of Allah’s blessing upon him, so he said to him, I used to be blind, but Allah restored my sight to me, and I used to be poor, so Allah gave me wealth.
So take what you wish and leave what you wish of the sheep; take what you want and leave what you want. By Allah, I will not burden you today with anything you have taken for the sake of Allah.
So the angel said to him, You were only tested; hold on to your wealth, for you were only tested. Allah has been pleased with you and has been displeased with your two companions.
And this indicates that the story was well-known among the people, and for this reason he said:
He was displeased with your two companions.
And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.' "
