The reciter: The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
"The chapter on reflecting upon the greatness of Allah's creations, the transience of this world, the terrors of the Hereafter, and all their other matters, and on restraining the self, refining it, and directing it toward righteousness. Allah the Exalted said: I only advise you of one [thing] - that you stand for Allah, [seeking truth] in pairs and individually, and then give thought.
إنما أعظكم بواحدة أن تقوموا لله مثنى وفرادى ثم تتفكروا [Saba 34:46]
And He the Exalted said: (190) Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding. (191) Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying], "Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
إن في خلق السماوات والأرض واختلاف الليل والنهار لآيات لأولي الألباب الذين يذكرون الله قياما وقعودا وعلى جنوبهم ويتفكرون في خلق السماوات والأرض ربنا ما خلقت هذا باطلا سبحانك [Ali 'Imran 3:190-191]
the verses. And He the Exalted said: Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created?
أفلا ينظرون إلى الإبل كيف خلقت [Al-Ghashiyah 88:17]
