The Shaykh : He said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sahih al-Bukhari 6208 So here he says: [Al-Qasas 28:56] And in the verse mentioned by the author: [Ash-Shuraa 42:52] The scholars said: The way to reconcile them is that the verse affirming guidance intends guidance of indication, meaning that you point the creation to the path, but not everyone who is pointed to the path finds the right way. As for the guidance that Allah denied to His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), saying: [Al-Qasas 28:56] That is guidance of success. No one can make anyone succeed in the truth, even if it were his father, his son, his brother, his uncle, his maternal uncle, his mother, or his grandmother. Never. Whom Allah misguides, no one can guide.
But it is upon us to call the servants of Allah to the religion of Allah, to encourage them in it, and to explain it to them. Then, if they find the right way, it is for us and for them; and if they do not find the right way, it is for us and upon them. Allah the Exalted said:[Ash-Shu'ara 26:1-3] Meaning: Perhaps you will destroy yourself with worry and grief if they do not become believers. Do not do so. Guidance is in the hand of Allah. Do what is upon you, and your obligation is discharged. Then the author concluded the verses with the words of Allah the Exalted: [Al-Ahzab 33:34] The address is to the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the pure, purified, and good women. These women are the purest wives on the face of the earth since the creation of Adam. The hypocrites tried to defile the bed of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the story of the Ifk (false accusation) regarding the truthful daughter of the truthful one, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), where they accused her of what she was innocent of. So Allah revealed ten verses from His Book regarding her innocence, which are recited until the Day of Resurrection. He said: [An-Nur 24:11] [An-Nur 24:11] So in the homes of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the verses of Allah and wisdom are recited. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recites them, and they also recite them. So Allah Mighty and Majestic says: Remember this, remember what is recited in the homes, adhere to the Sunnah, and fulfill what is obligatory. For the one in whose home the Book and wisdom are recited, there is no doubt that he has attained much good and abundant knowledge, and he is accountable for this knowledge. So whoever Allah has given knowledge and wisdom is more accountable for it than the one who was ignorant. We ask Allah to make us and you successful in action and wisdom. Indeed, He is Generous and Bountiful.
And he is the least of the people of the Fire in punishment, and were it not for me
وإنه لأهون أهل النار عذابًا ولولا أناhe would have been in the bottom-most depth of the Fire
لكان في الدرك الأسفل من النارIndeed, [O Muhammad], you do not guide whom you like
إِنَّكَ لا تَهْدِي مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَAnd indeed, [O Muhammad], you guide to a straight path -
وإنك لتهدي إلى صراط مستقيمIndeed, [O Muhammad], you do not guide whom you like
إِنَّكَ لا تَهْدِي مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَBut it is upon us to call the servants of Allah to the religion of Allah, to encourage them in it, and to explain it to them. Then, if they find the right way, it is for us and for them; and if they do not find the right way, it is for us and upon them. Allah the Exalted said:
