The reciter: The author (may Allah have mercy on him) transmitted:
"And from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) That a young man from Aslam said: "O Messenger of Allah, I intend to go on a military expedition, but I have nothing with which to prepare myself." He said: "Go to so-and-so, for he had prepared himself but then fell ill." So he went to him and said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sends you his greetings and says: Give me what you prepared for the expedition." He said: "O so-and-so, give him what you prepared for the expedition and do not hold back any of it, for by Allah, you will not hold back any of it without a blessing being placed in it for us."
أن فتى من أسلم قال: يا رسول الله إني أريد الغزو وليس معي ما أتجهز به، قال: ائت فلانًا فإنه قد كان تجهز فمرض، فأتاه فقال: إن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقرئك السلام ويقول: أعطني الذي تجهزت به، فقال: يا فلانة أعطيه الذي تجهزت به ولا تحبسي منه شيئًا فوالله لا تحبسين منه شيئًا فيُبارك لنا فيه
It was narrated by Muslim".
