This hadith mentioned by the author contains an indication of good, for a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asking him to help him prepare for an expedition. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) guided him and directed him to a man who had prepared his mount and what was necessary for his journey, but he fell ill and was unable to go out for jihad. So the man came to his companion who had prepared and informed him of what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said In this is evidence that when a person guides someone to good, he is rewarded for that. It has been mentioned previously that whoever guides to good has a reward like that of the doer. And in it is also evidence that if a person intends a righteous deed but illness prevents him from doing it, then he should give what he has spent for that righteous deed to someone who will perform it, so that the reward is written for him in full. For when a person falls ill after intending the deed and preparing for it, but his illness prevents him from doing it, the reward is written for him in full, praise be to Allah. Allah the Mighty and Majestic said: [An-Nisa 4:100] And in it is also evidence, from the statement of the Companion (may Allah be pleased with him), that when a person spends something for good, the best thing is to carry it out. For example, if you intend to give charity with money and you set aside the money you want to give in charity, or spend in a mosque or a charitable organization or the like, then you have the choice to return from what you did, because as long as the thing has not reached its destination, it is in your hand. But the best thing is to carry it out and not return from what you intended, so that you may be among those who race to do good. And success is from Allah.
