The author (may Allah have mercy on him) quoted: "From Mu'awiyah ibn Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:Mishkat al-Masabih 3259, a good hadith narrated by Abu Dawud, who said: the meaning of 'do not say ugly things' is do not say, 'May Allah make you ugly.'
And from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1162Hasan (Darussalam), narrated by al-Tirmidhi, who said it is a good, authentic hadith".
