A summary of the explanation of the established signs of the Mahdi according to the people of the Sunnah, by which they distinguish him, and by which they refute the lies of the liars?

The Shaykh : These are signs that must remain in our minds, so that we are not deceived by the claim of some people that he is the Mahdi. This is from one aspect. From another aspect, we must not suspect, and we must not speculate about the unseen by saying: "This is the time of the Mahdi's emergence," because this is unseen, and no one knows the unseen except Allah. In every era, there are people who say that corruption has intensified on earth, that corruption has appeared on earth and in the sea due to what people's hands have earned. So, this is the time of the Mahdi's emergence. But years and years pass, and the Mahdi does not emerge, because no one has been given knowledge of the Mahdi's emergence or his time, absolutely not. Likewise, the descent of 'Isa (peace be upon him). We have two duties: From the perspective of creed, we must believe in everything that is authentic regarding the Mahdi, and we have mentioned to you some excerpts from this creed. This is from one aspect. The second obligatory thing is that we must not tie ourselves to a time we claim is the time of the Mahdi's emergence, because no one knows that except Allah. The time of the Mahdi's emergence and the descent of 'Isa is known only to Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He). So, we must act according to what Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has commanded us and what His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) has commanded us. And as I always say, and will always say, on such an occasion: We must act whether the Mahdi emerges in our time or not. Because if he emerges, he will find people who are in need of a leader to lead them. And if he does not emerge, we will have fulfilled the duty that Allah has made obligatory upon us. And by this, we refute two opposing groups, and we are in the middle between them: a group that denies the hadiths of the Mahdi and the hadiths of the descent of 'Isa, and a group that authenticates the hadiths but does not act, claiming, "What is the benefit, my brother, for the Mahdi to emerge and for 'Isa (peace be upon him) to descend?" We say, as Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said: , and we do not wait for the Mahdi's emergence, because this is not our concern. If he emerges, we will be on the right path. If he does not emerge, it will not harm us. Rather, it is upon us to act according to what Allah (the Exalted) has commanded us.
