The reader: "And from Abu Sufyan Sakhr ibn Harith (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Do not press in a matter, for I swear by Allah, none of you who asks me for anything and manages to get his request while I disdain it, will he be blessed in that which I give him. لا تُلحفوا في المسألة، فوالله لا يسأَلُني أحد منكم شيئا، فتخرج له مسألته مني شيئا وأنا له كاره، فيبارك له فيما أعطيته
Sahih Muslim 1038a
, narrated by Muslim.
And from Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When a man is always begging from people. he would meet Allah (in a state) that there would be no flesh on his face. لا تزال المسألة بأحدكم حتى يَلقى الله تعالى وليس في وجهه مُزعة لحم
