The reciter: The author (may Allah have mercy on him) quoted: "From Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: Riyad as-Salihin 1575 Narrated by Muslim.
And from Salama ibn al-Akwa' (may Allah be pleased with him): Narrated by Muslim".
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:
The author al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him), the Hafiz, said in his book *Riyad al-Salihin* in: "The Chapter on the Prohibition of Arrogance and Self-Admiration": From Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Muslim 91c: And this hadith is among the hadiths of warning that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) utters to deter people from a thing, even though it requires detailed analysis according to the legal evidence. So the one who has arrogance in his heart, either it is arrogance against the truth and hatred for it, and this is a disbeliever who is eternally in the Fire and will not enter Paradise, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted: [Muhammad 47:9], and deeds are not nullified except by disbelief, as Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Baqarah 2:217].
And as for when it is arrogance over the creation and exalting oneself over the creation, but he did not become arrogant against worshipping Allah, then this does not enter Paradise in a complete, absolute manner without prior punishment. Rather, there must be punishment for the arrogance and exaltation over the creation that occurred, and then when he is purified, he enters Paradise. And when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) narrated this hadith, a man said:Sahih Muslim 91a: meaning, is this from arrogance? So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sahih Muslim 91a: Beautiful in His essence, beautiful in His actions, beautiful in His attributes. Everything that proceeds from Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is beautiful and not ugly, but rather good, which sound minds approve of and souls find agreeable. And His saying: means: He loves adornment, meaning He loves for a person to adorn himself in his clothes, in his sandals, in his attire, in all his affairs, because adornment draws hearts to a person and makes him loved by people, unlike ugliness where a person is disfigured in his hair or his garment or his other clothing. Therefore, he said: meaning He loves for a person to adorn himself. As for innate beauty from Allah (Mighty and Majestic), that is up to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He); a person has no means in it and no earning in it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) only mentioned what a person has an earning in, which is adornment.
As for the second hadith: It is the hadith of Salama ibn al-Akwa' (may Allah be pleased with him), that a man ate in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with his left hand, so he said:, because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) knew that he was arrogant, so he said: meaning: He cursed him that Allah the Exalted would strike him with something that prevents him from raising his right hand to his mouth. So when he said: , Allah answered the supplication of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) : It became, may Allah protect us, standing like a stick, and he could not raise it because he became arrogant against the religion of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). And in this is evidence of the obligation of eating with the right hand and drinking with the right hand, and that eating with the left hand is forbidden and the person sins for it, and likewise drinking with the left hand is forbidden and the person sins for it, because if he does that, meaning eats with his left hand or drinks with his left hand, he imitates Satan and the friends of Satan. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1799Sahih (Darussalam).
And if we look now at the disbelievers, we find that they eat with their left hands and drink with their left hands. And on this basis, the one who eats with his left hand or drinks with his left hand is imitating Satan and the friends of Satan. It is obligatory upon the one who sees him to disapprove of him, but in the best manner. Either he hints at it if he fears his companion or if he is arrogant and haughty. He hints and says: Some people eat with their left hand or drink with their left hand, and this is forbidden and not permissible. Or if there is a student of knowledge with him, he asks the student of knowledge and says: What do you say about the one who eats with the left hand and drinks with the left hand? So that the other person becomes aware. If he becomes aware, that is what is desired. If he does not become aware, it is said to him, it is said to him even in private: Do not eat with your left hand and do not drink with your left hand, so that the religion of Allah the Exalted and the law of Allah are made known.
There are some of the extravagant who eat with the right hand and drink with the right hand, except when he drinks while he is eating, then he drinks with the left hand. He claims that if he drank with the right hand, he would contaminate the vessel. So it is said to him: The matter is not easy. The matter is not on the basis of recommendation such that you say: The matter is easy. Rather, if you eat with the left hand and drink with the left hand, you are a sinner because it is forbidden, and the forbidden is not permissible except for dire necessity. And there is no dire necessity for drinking with the left hand out of fear that the vessel will be contaminated with food. Then, it is possible that it does not get contaminated; it is possible to hold it between the thumb and the index finger from below, and in that case, it does not get contaminated. So the person who wants good and truth finds it easy. As for the stubborn one, or the extravagant one, or the one who imitates the enemies of Allah from Satan and his friends, this is a different matter. And Allah is the One who grants success.
The haughty, even with pride equal to a mustard seed in his heart, will not enter Jannah." A man enquired: "What about that a person likes fine dress and fine shoes?" He said: "Allah is Beautiful and likes beauty. Pride amounts to disclaiming truth out of self- esteem, and despising people
And from Salama ibn al-Akwa' (may Allah be pleased with him):
That a man ate in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) with his left hand, so he said: Eat with your right hand. He said: I cannot. He said: You cannot. Nothing prevented you except arrogance. He said: So he did not raise it to his mouth.
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:

He who has in his heart the weight of a mustard seed of pride shall not enter Paradise.
That is because they disliked what Allah revealed, so He rendered worthless their deeds.
And whoever of you reverts from his religion [to disbelief] and dies while he is a disbeliever - for those, their deeds have become worthless in this world and the Hereafter, and those are the companions of the Fire, they will abide therein eternally.
And as for when it is arrogance over the creation and exalting oneself over the creation, but he did not become arrogant against worshipping Allah, then this does not enter Paradise in a complete, absolute manner without prior punishment.
