Is zina described as shirk?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The saying of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him): "The greatest shirk is for a man to commit zina with his neighbor's wife." Is zina considered shirk?

Answer:
This is the greatest zina; it is not the greatest shirk,
that he commits zina with his neighbor's wifeأن يُزاني بحليلة جاره
, and it is not the greatest shirk.
Q: And is zina not shirk?
A: No, it is a companion [in the list of major sins]. So shirk is first, then killing, then zina with the neighbor's wife –may Allah grant us well-being– when it was said:
Which sin is the greatest? He said: That you make a rival for Allah while He created you. He said: Then what? He said: That you kill your child for fear that it will eat with you. He said: Then what? He said: That you commit zina with your neighbor's wifeأيُّ الذَّنب أعظم؟ قال: أن تجعل لله ندًّا وهو خلقك، قال: ثم أي؟ قال: أن تقتل ولدك خشية أن يطعم معك، قال: ثم أي؟ قال: أن تُزاني بحليلة جارك
, and in the other wording: he said:
The greatest of the major sins: associating partners with Allah, then undutifulness to parents, then false testimonyأكبر الكبائر: الإشراك بالله، ثم عقوق الوالدين، ثم شهادة الزور
may Allah grant us well-being.
