What is prescribed regarding visiting graves, their timing, and their etiquettes?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Some of the Shi'ah come to al-Baqi' and sit, and the man here speaks, and they weep with the women and men?

Answer:
The Shi'ah are not to be followed, for the Rafidah are extremists regarding the dead and regarding the Household of the Prophet, so they are not to be followed. The Sunnah is to stand and greet, and to walk. If one is unable and sits, there is nothing wrong with it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sat at his mother's grave and supplicated for her until he was prevented from doing so.
Q: Some of those who visit graves—for example, visiting the grave of their father or mother—specify Friday. They come to the grave, then sit beside it, and perhaps they do not supplicate and sit for an hour?
A: This has no basis. Specifying Friday has no basis. Visiting graves can be done on any day—and praise be to Allah.
Q: Some of them, when they visit a grave, pray over the grave itself?
A: Do they perform the known prayer?
Q: No, the prayer for the deceased.
A: No, this is not permissible.
Q: Does walking barefoot occur when entering the cemetery or between the graves?
A: Only between the graves. Before that, there is nothing wrong with it.
