What is the ruling on asking Allah for a kingdom that does not perish?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A questioner says: Your Eminence, peace be upon you and Allah’s mercy and blessings. I testify to Allah that I love you for the sake of Allah. What is the ruling on supplicating with, “O Allah, O Owner of the Kingdom, You give the kingdom to whom You will and take the kingdom from whom You will. I ask You for a kingdom that does not perish”?

Answer:
As for love for the sake of Allah, it is among the means of drawing near to Him, so we say: May Allah love you, for you loved us for His sake.
As for a kingdom in this world, there is no kingdom that does not perish. However, if one intends Paradise, there is no harm. But if one intends a kingdom in this world that does not perish, that is not correct, for all of this world is perishing:
Everyone upon the earth will perish,كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ
[Ar-Rahman:26]. But if one intends a kingdom in the Hereafter—meaning in Paradise—there is no harm.
Q: Is it an overstepping in supplication?
A: Yes.
