The ruling on breastfeeding applies only to the breastfed child, not to his siblings
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: A person came to me who identified himself as N. D., and he mentioned that his sister (G. S.) had breastfed his son (J. N.), and he asked me for a ruling: Is it permissible for his other sons, who were not breastfed by the aforementioned sister, to marry the daughters of her daughters?
And the answer: If the facts are as the questioner stated, there is no harm in his other sons marrying the daughters of the aforementioned sister and the daughters of her daughters; because the ruling of the aforementioned breastfeeding applies only to the aforementioned son who was breastfed by the aforementioned woman, provided that the breastfeeding was five times or more, while he was within the two-year period; because the authentic hadiths reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding breastfeeding indicate this. It was written down at his request to document the fatwa.
Said by the one who dictated it, the poor servant of Allah the Exalted, Abdul Aziz ibn Abdullah ibn Baz, may Allah forgive him.
