The ruling on using incense to drive away the Shayatins

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Some people use incense sold at perfumeries called (Naqd), claiming that it drives away the Shayatins.

Answer:
I am not aware of any Shari'ah basis for this practice, and it is obligatory to abandon it; because it is one of the superstitions that have no basis. Rather, the Shayatins are driven away by increasing the remembrance of Allah, reciting the Qur'an, and seeking refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
It is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
When anyone lands at a place, and then says:" I seek refuge in the Perfect Word of Allah from the evil of what He has created," nothing would harm him until he marches from that stopping place.من نزل منزلًا فقال: أعوذ بكلمات الله التامات من شر ما خلق لم يضره شيء حتى يرتحل من منزله ذلك
Sahih Muslim 2708a
, and a man said to him: O Messenger of Allah, what did you encounter last night from a scorpion sting? He said to him (peace and blessings be upon him):
Oh, had you said in the evening: "I take refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He created," nothing would have harmed youأما إنك لو قلت أعوذ بكلمات الله التامات من شر ما خلق لم تضرك
Sunan Abi Dawud 3898Sahih (Al-Albani)
, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever says in the morning: In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing on earth or in the sky can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, three times, nothing will harm him until evening. And whoever says it in the evening, nothing will harm him until morning.
