Disturbing Dreams

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
I am haunted by a frightening, disturbing, and recurring dream. In it, while I am sleeping, I feel as if there is something in my mouth resembling dough that makes it difficult for me to breathe and speak. Every time I try to remove it with my hand or take it out, another one appears, and so on until I wake up. I am very afraid of this dream; it has disrupted my life, and I constantly think about it. I do not know what the cause is. I pray, I fast, and I have performed Hajj. I constantly seek Allah's forgiveness and repent to Him, but the dream has been recurring for two to four or five months and keeps coming back to me.
I ask Allah the Exalted to help me find an interpretation for this frightening dream. I ask Allah to guide you to what is good in this world and the Hereafter, and Allah supports the servant as long as the servant supports his brother.

Answer:
This dream is from Shaytan. It is prescribed for you and every Muslim man and woman, if they see something they dislike, to spit dryly to their left three times, and to seek refuge in Allah from Shaytan and from the evil of what they saw, three times. Then they should turn over to their other side, and it will not harm them, and they should not tell anyone about it. This is based on what is established from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
A good vision is from Allah, and a dream is from Shaytan. So if any of you sees something he dislikes, let him spit dryly to his left three times, let him seek refuge in Allah from Shaytan and from the evil of what he saw, three times, then let him turn over to his other side, for it will not harm him, and let him not tell anyone about it.
This authentic hadith provides relief for the believer when he sees something he dislikes, and likewise for the believing woman when she sees something she dislikes. It is, by the praise of Allah, a great and easy remedy. So, my brother, you must act upon this, and you must be reassured and find peace for your heart and soul with this great Prophetic remedy.
May Allah guide them all.
