Explanation of the intensification of the strangeness of Islam in the end times

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
It is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a long hadith
when a man will be a believer in the morning and an infidel in the evening, and a believer in the evening and an infidel in the morning, selling his religion for some worldly goodsيصبح الرجل مؤمنًا ويمسي كافرًا، ويمسي الرجل مؤمنًا ويصبح كافرًا، يبيع دينه بعرض من الدنيا قليل
Mishkat al-Masabih 5383
What is meant by disbelief in the hadith? And how does one sell his religion?

Answer:
It is established from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
Be prompt in doing good deeds (before you are overtaken) by turbulence which would be like a part of the dark nightبادروا بالأعمال فتنًا كقطع الليل المظلم
Sahih Muslim 118
Hasten to do deeds, meaning righteous deeds
trials come like portions of a dark night when a man will be a believer in the morning and an infidel in the evening, and a believer in the evening and an infidel in the morning, selling his religion for some worldly goodsفتنًا كقطع الليل المظلم، يصبح الرجل فيها مسلمًا ويمسي كافرًا، ويمسي مؤمنًا، ويصبح كافرًا، يبيع دينه بعرض من الدنيا قليل
Mishkat al-Masabih 5383
.
The meaning is that the strangeness in Islam intensifies until the believer becomes a Muslim, then becomes a disbeliever in the evening, and conversely, he becomes a believer in the evening and a disbeliever in the morning, selling his religion for a trifle of this world. This is by speaking words of disbelief or acting upon them for the sake of this world. He becomes a believer, and someone comes to him saying: “Curse Allah and curse the Messenger, abandon prayer and we will give you so much and so much, make zina permissible, make intoxicants permissible, and we will give you so much and so much.” So he sells his religion for a trifle of this world and becomes a disbeliever, or becomes so in the evening, or they say: “Do not be with the believers, we will give you so much and so much to be with the disbelievers.” They entice him to be with the disbelievers, in the party of the disbelievers, and among their supporters, until they give him a great deal of wealth, so he becomes a close friend of the disbelievers and an enemy of the believers.
The types of apostasy are very numerous, and it is mostly due to this world, the love of this world and preferring it over the Hereafter. For this reason, he said:
and would sell his faith for worldly goodsيبيع دينه بعرض من الدنيا
Sahih Muslim 118
And in another wording:
Hasten to do righteous deeds, do you wait for nothing but a forgotten poverty, or a pride-inducing wealth, or a prepared death, or a ruining illness, or a weakening old age, or the Dajjal, the worst of the absent ones to be waited for, or the Hour, for the Hour is more terrible and more severeبادروا بالأعمال الصالحة، هل تنتظرون إلا فقرا منسيا أو غنى مطغيا، أو موتا مجهزا، أو مرضا مفسدا، أو هرما مفندا، أو الدجال شر غائب ينتظر، أو الساعة فالساعة أدهى وأمر
.
The believer hastens to do deeds, fearing that he may be tested with sudden death, sudden death, or tested with an illness that ruins his strength so he cannot work, or tested with old age, or tested with other things. A person should take advantage of his life, health, and mind with righteous deeds before he is prevented from doing so, sometimes by causes he is tested with, such as illness and others, and sometimes by greed for this world, love of this world, preferring it over the Hereafter, and its beautification by the enemies of Allah and the callers to disbelief and misguidance.
