And prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
He (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Chapter on the recommendation to advise the family of a sick person and those who serve him to be kind to him, to bear with him, and to be patient with the difficulties of his condition. Likewise, the recommendation to advise one whose cause of death is near, such as by a hudud punishment or qisas, or the like. It was narrated from 'Imran ibn al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a woman from the tribe of Jahinah came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while she was pregnant from zina. She said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I have committed a crime for which a hudud punishment is due, so enforce it upon me.' The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) called her guardian and said:
Treat her well, and when she delivers bring her to me أحسن إليها فإذا وضعت فأئتني بها
Sahih Muslim 1696a
He did so, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered her clothes to be tied around her, then ordered her to be stoned, and then he prayed over her. Muslim narrated it."

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The author al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said in his book *Riyad al-Salihin*: "Chapter on the recommendation to advise the family of a sick person to be kind to him, to be patient, to bear with him, and so on." This means that a person should be kind to the sick person, bear with him, and be patient with the harsh words he may say, because the sick person is in distress and the world has become narrow for him. He may say something or show irritation or the like. So a person should be patient with this and seek reward from Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), for he will be rewarded for this. He will be rewarded for his kindness to this sick person, and for bearing the hardship and harm from him, especially if the person he is caring for has found the cause of his death or the cause of his killing, as mentioned in the hadith of 'Imran ibn al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that a woman came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) while she was pregnant from zina. Pregnant means she was carrying a child, a fornicator who was pregnant. She said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have committed a crime for which a hudud punishment is due, so enforce it upon me", meaning she was asking the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).
