The reader: "And from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2913Da'if (Darussalam) Al-Tirmidhi narrated it and said: It is a good, authentic hadith".
The Shaykh : These two hadiths explain the virtue of reading the Qur'an and its reward. The first hadith is from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:: Then he clarified this by saying: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2910Hasan (Darussalam): So there are three letters containing thirty good deeds, and so it is with the rest of the words, the words of the great Qur'an: When a person reads it, in every letter of every word there are ten good deeds. This is a great blessing and a great reward. A person should read as much of the Book of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) as he is able. It is not obligatory that one has memorized the entire Qur'an; read what is easy for you. Even if it were stipulated that you had only memorized Surat al-Fatihah and the portion of 'Amma and Tabaarak and the like, all of the Qur'an is good. Indeed, the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) informed: As-Sunan al-Kubra lil-Nasa'i 64:1110 and informed: Sahih Muslim 812a, likewise the hadith that follows it, in which the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) clarified that the chest in which there is nothing of the Qur'an is like a ruined house: meaning that the Qur'an fills the heart and makes it illuminated with knowledge and with the light of the noble Book. And if the Qur'an is absent from the heart of the servant, it will be like a ruined house, refuge sought in Allah from that. There is no good in it. This also contains a warning against not reading the Qur'an and not being eager for it. We ask Allah to make us and you among those who recite it with its true recitation.
Indeed, the one who does not have the Qur'an inside him (his heart), is like the ruined house.
إن الذي ليس في جوفه شيء من القرآن كالبيت الخَرِبThe Shaykh : These two hadiths explain the virtue of reading the Qur'an and its reward. The first hadith is from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
