Does a pilgrim’s intercourse with his wife invalidate his Hajj?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And so I was also asked, on this occasion, whether a pilgrim’s intercourse with his wife invalidates his Hajj, or whether it is merely forbidden for him? There is a vast difference between it being forbidden while the Hajj remains valid, and the Hajj becoming invalid simply by committing a forbidden act like this. I answered that, in truth, there is scholarly disagreement on this issue. The well-known position among the jurists is that intercourse invalidates the Hajj, but there is a view that there is no evidence for the invalidation of the Hajj, while acknowledging that it is also one of the prohibitions of the Hajj. I answered that I do not have a specific study on this issue, and I hope to be given the opportunity to devote myself to studying it as it deserves, so that we may be assured of the majority’s statement that the Hajj is invalidated or not invalidated, and we stop only at the prohibition. Likewise, this specific issue requires a special study: is cutting the nails considered by analogy to cutting the hair, for example, or is there a specific text regarding it? This is what we do not know, and it requires a special study.
