Explanation of the Book of Marriage-01

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He said: "And from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said:
A woman may be married for four reasons: for her property, her status. her beauty and her religion, so try to get one who is religious, may your hand be besmeared with dust. تنكح المرأة لأربع : لمالها ، ولحسبها ، ولجمالها ، ولدينها ، فاظفر بذات الدين تربت يداك
Sahih Muslim 1466
"
.
It is a statement (tunakha) تُنكح
It is a statement (khabar), not a command, meaning that people's purposes in marriage vary, and the common ones are these four purposes: for her wealth, for her lineage, for her beauty, and for her religion.
